So far, the biggest negative people feel about the Trump administration is that they are being mean to poor people. Not to real legal Americans, but picking on those poor, ignorant, workers that came to America to make a new life for themselves and their eventual families. Yes, the democrats have taken a break from stealing welfare money to criticize anything else they think will get them traction.

Of course, the loudest complaining comes from the deep blue cities and states where the welfare rolls have swollen to bankrupt populations. The generosity of the local people is their identification, their reason to exist (what makes them superior to everyone else). Getting into why they believe that is not in the purview of this article. There are highly populated areas of the country that feel everybody in the world is entitled to American benefits, freedoms, rights and lifestyles at no cost. That generosity by the way, includes spending most everybody’s money to support people who: A. are not Americans and B. may be trying to destroy America. The problem then is some people who are willing to spend your money feel existentially motivated and privileged to be able to do that.

Unfortunately, the response of the Trump administration and therefore ICE has been to overcome by force the gargantuan illegality of the Obama and Biden administrations. The Republicans are trying to overcome a PR problem with law enforcement tactics. The spoiled, pampered and unthinking voters feel this is mean.

The Obama administration gigantically boosted the national debt, but when the Biden administration came in they went even bigger so that the current national debt is in the area of $38 billion (about $113,000 per legal American). In fact, in the last few months of the Biden administration the staff admitted that they had squirreled away so much money from the COVID regime and particularly the “Inflation Reduction Act” that they had about $2 billion in the bank, but they were afraid Biden was so incompetent he would lose the election and the next president (Trump) would then come in with a bankroll to do any program that he desired.

So what they did was give away as much of it as they could to anybody and everybody that would take it. The statement was made by Biden staff that they were “like a sinking ship throwing the money overboard rather than going down with it.” So how do you cope with all these highly principled, mostly well-intentioned people who insist on you being the welfare program for the entire world? The historical response of law enforcement has been to arrest violent and obnoxious criminals and lock them up and to fight crime, lying, cheating with low key violence but nonetheless violent arrests. This is playing right into the hands and headlines of the leftists and Democrats in the media as abuse of the criminals. Unfortunately, this kinetic action is just what the media needs to get their clicks views and likes and to perpetuate an argument between well-meaning people.

So the first step in healing this process will be for those areas that are willing to house, shelter, feed, and medicate non-citizens including non-citizen criminals is to declare that they are sanctuary cities or sanctuary states. This needs to be done by the regional or local government in a formal, public, legislative process so that it can be recognized from both a legal and a PR perspective. The Trump ICE administration would expedite this by making an offer that for these Sanctuary Areas there will be no federal law enforcement for two years while the other 40 or so states have time get their citizenry much more legal.

When all these sanctuaries have been identified: ICE, Homeland Security, FBI, ATF and other law enforcement entities will stop any kinetic action and focus the troops on the other 40 or so states where there is a lot less really ugly stuff going on. Sanctuary areas will still have a skeleton crew of operatives whose goal will not be arresting or even being seen on the street, but rather merely to collect intelligence for later use to get the really bad guys later. After the two years are up or when the local sanctuary government asks for help, the federal law enforcement function will resume.

In the 40 other states: when Homeland Security or those law enforcement groups come upon non-lethal illegal alien activity, the obnoxious illegal perps will be given the option of deportation, jail, or moving to a sanctuary area. This In Country Deportation will ban the low-level perps from ever returning to the area where they were arrested. These low-level offenders may also be offered a bus ticket to the sanctuary jurisdiction of their choice and maybe $50.00 for lunch along the way. In this way every illegal will be respected and treated with dignity after thorough background check, fingerprint, DNA and intense photo identification for future use. The offenders will commit to the In Country Deportation deal in writing with witnesses. The serious offenders that are captured including: rape, murder, high level drug dealing, child abuse and sex slavery will still be incarcerated and processed as they are now. In this way the “good illegals” will be able to still stay in America to enjoy the food, clothing, shelter, health care and job security of America as a sanctuary guest.

About one year into the program an analysis will be taken to make sure that the illegality of the sanctuary areas are still within tolerable limits, particularly for the taxpaying citizens. The decision will be made whether federal enforcement should resume early or not. As the sanctuary areas become more and more crime ridden and unsafe for regular citizens, the federal government will have the option of declaring those areas too dangerous to force federal employees to work there. If there is sufficient chaos or sufficient complaints from federal employees, alternative venues for federal offices will set up and business conducted by phone email or text where possible. Potentially, if the violence is sufficient all federal payments of any kind can be stopped temporarily to cut off revenue sources for the cartels or street criminals.  If all federal funding is cut off this will include any airports or military bases. Based on the conditions, a military border can be established with ID checks to make sure that only legal Americans can escape the sanctuary area (like the Mexican and Canadian borders). Any known criminals or In Country Deportation exiles fleeing the sanctuary area will be immediately processed for deportation or prison rehabilitation. All vehicles and transport to and from the violent sanctuary area will be inspected at their borders.

At the completion of the 2 year hiatus, federal law enforcement will resume. Federal law enforcement will have the benefit of the intelligence gathered during the hiatus and the ability to concentrate law enforcement using employees from the other safe states.
